Tools and Technology for Teaching

A workshop on bringing technology into teaching with a purpose. Over the years I have covered tools for active learning, course and classroom management with a learning management system, teaching online, and web workflows that automate routine chores. Recent editions add artificial intelligence: how generative AI can help with preparing material, personalizing learning and assessment, and the ethical questions that come with it. Throughout, the emphasis is on student engagement and on matching each tool to what learners need to do.
